No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
"I don't have a pet so that wasn't why I bought it. The mini turbo tool fell apart (but can be reconstructed) but after two uses, and with total failure of suction this unit is usless. The hose is of good design, BUT, when used to clean up the stairs, due to lack of flexibility at the body connection, the whole vaccum falls over. Also when the vac is turned on with the hose off it mounting, an amount of dust is blown 'OUT' of the mounting. On a plus, the dust storage is good and for its a good vac for various surfaces. Sadly though I would recommend this item, and would never consider buying another. All in all, I think I wasted a lot of money when I purchased it."

"What can I say pipe cracked about 30 seconds after assembly on its own accord probably due being under tension. Design fault that needs addressing. Very disappointed fell way below Samsung's usual high standards."
