"There are allot of complains about the screen of the series 7000 and 8000, which is the same. If you end up with a good screen then you will have best tv out there.
If u end up with a screen which bleeds, has clouding...etc.., make sure you send the tv back to Samsung until you get a perfect TV."

"Read lots of reviews and did my research before I selected which TV I bought. Reviews on the 7000 series TV's were good and I went to see them in a few stores. What I saw was a stunning TV that lived up to all the reviews, great design, lots of features and stunning pictures. Now I have the TV at home I'm very happy with my purchase and would recommend this TV to others that want a high spec TV with stunning picture quality"

"This TV is "magic" to my eye, i was splendid with the "clear motion rate" it makes you feel like you're on a scene of a movie making instead of watching a movie. it does comes to LIFE. never been amazed by a such quality picture other than this. GOOD JOB SAMSUNG!"

"The Samsung UE46D7000 is an absolutley stunning tv. The picture quality is sharp and precise. The 3D is out of this world, i have been shopping around for the best 3d led tv on the market and believe me this is it. The design is amazing, the ultra slim bezel is superb. It just looks good before even turning it on! I would reccomend this tv to anyone. It seemed a bit pricey but you get a lot of tv for your money. The smart hub is excellent. I love it, it blows everything else out of the water! just buy it, it will not disappoint!"

"Once set up for my own preference,this tv is the best.you NEED to buy the qwerty keypad to get the best as using the std remote is a total waste of time.(should be supplied as standard AND the camera for SKYPE).
Switch OFF motion plus to get the best film experience(in movie mode) The 3d picture beats my other (LG)
hands down but can be wearing on the eyes for long term watching.In 2d WOW.....every hair/pimple/detail is RAZOR sharp.also needs a good broadband connection for seamless streaming.In conclusion,the best of the best.....matched to a decent sound system.......the speakers sound muffled....."

"I've had this TV a few months now, and it still manages to impress me. When I first saw it in PC World it stopped me dead in my tracks - in terms of looks it's head and shoulders above everything else out there on the market. Most other TVs had a large chunky border around them - something this certainly doesn't suffer from! As to the border around the screen, the phrase "less is more" certainly applies here.
Pros: Fantastic looks, Smart TV features are great, good picture quality, surprisingly good sound from the inbuilt speakers, easy to setup.
Cons: Not the cheapest, media sharing can be complicated to setup, and the file browser can be a bit clunky and long winded."

"you have to see this tv to beleve just how good the picture is, I have 2 of these and they are both used as pc monitors as well as tvs there is absoluty no bad points to this Tv no ghosting with fast moving objects no light bleed at the corners ( who watches a black screen in the dark anyway)and if it used any less electricity it would generate the stuff.this tv is a must buy at all costs"

"This TV is excellent (if a little pricey!). It has every feature you could want and more. The picture and sound quality are truly amazing and the slim-line design is state of the art!
My only complaint is the TV's standard Samasung remote control which lacks the functionality to support the features of the TV. I understand that in America this TV is sold as standard with a Bluetooth remote that has a full keyboard on its reverse side (a must have for this SmartTV) but it's not even available as an accessory in the UK!"

"Awesome picture, I'm not an expert but for a tv enthusiast this tv is great.
I do have a big problem with this tv and that is, the PC/DVI audio port does not work. I'm going to try and contact customer service to see if there is a setting issue."

Clouding issue on Dark scenes

"Initially I sent the first TV back as it had severe back light bleed from the corners. Second TV was better, however there was a "Clouding" issue when the screen displays whats supposed to be a black screen, or dark pictures. Tried a D8000 and exactly the same issue, noticed the D8000 is a lot brighter with the same settings, but clouding appeard worse. Have decided to keep the D7000 as the design is great. Everything else I'm happy with, just annoying re the "Clouding"."

Edge Lit LED leads to too much bleed and inconsistant display

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
"I was very excited to received my new TV and the design and features are excellent.
However, one issue is limiting my enjoyment of the picture. There is a persistant halo and inconsistant backlight which is most evident on dark scenes. This is distracting from the otherwise good picture.
Is Edge Lit LED technology fundementally flawed?
it's a real shame that Samsung deem this level of performance acceptable for a premium TV from a respected brand.
