I would recommend this to a friend!
"i was not able to find a 60 inch or larger tv in this price range with such a great picture, finally football looks like it should, even panned out the detail is great, of course that is using a HD tv source. Blurays and HD movies look incredible. I have tried different reviewers post calibration settings, but the movie setting can easily be tuned to suit your eyes, as each panel is different, calibration should be done after a break in period of about 150 hours or more, i have run color 1080p slides and watch varying tv content, and the picture just gets better as it matures. It handles reflection pretty well too, and as far as reports of buzzing go, when standing right in front of the tv or looking over it to the back, especially near the connections, you can hear a slight noise that i would describe as the tv is on, and its electric, but you can not hear it at normal viewing distance, even at low volumes. so it is not a problem, but i think all plasma tv's make a low hum or buzz as some call it. Overall i am very happy with my E6500, and CNET just named it as number 4 on their list of the 5 best HDTV's on the market as of June 15th 2012, the higher priced E8000 came in 5th! so absolutely a great value in a plasma tv with a top of the line panel!"
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, deep blacks, extensive picture quality controls, brushed aluminum(look) bezel, european model has rectangular base stand, excellent motion resolution, good sound for a flat screen tv, the wife is really happy with this tv, top picture quality without the extra smarty stuff
Cons: sd content does not look as good as on e8000, could use a bit more contrast in a bright room
