"Very nice to use and great picture quality. I question the durability of the USB. there should be another way to charge the cam corder."

Had high hopes, only to have them dashed. Camera was not waterproof as advertised.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
"I bought this camcorder for my son, who can be a little bit tough on cameras. The camera performed well after being dropped. We never froze it, so don't know about how it responds to cold temps. But before we put it in the ocean, I opened up the two compartment doors and made sure they were clean and that the seals especially were clean, and that they were closed tightly. After being submerged in less than 3 ft. of ocean water for not even a minute, one of the seals failed. Sea water entered the camera and now it won't power up. Since it's still under warranty, hopefully we can get a replacement. So disappointed."
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, not waterproof to 10 ft.

"After a few uses the camera didn’t hold its power and within 8 months has stopped working altogether"
