"This was my first Galaxy buy. I started my Galaxy phone range with this phone. Really a pleasing phone, at that time this was the most of Samsung in its market. Not blazing fast for 2013, but a really price worthy phone. Some games work fine while some don't run at all. But this Galaxy was a great buy to me. It fulfilled my expectations and I was satisfied, so I bought the Galaxy S, then the S Plus, then the S2 and S Advance, then the Grand, S3 mini and S3. It produces great shoots from its Camera, it's good and it has a good and bright LED flash. A perfect partner who is finding a way for starting Android. The screen is well made and the resolution is good. The only thing that made me buy the Galaxy S was its poor battery life. It's just a 1350 mah, it requires charging in every 6 hrs."

"This phone is really easy to use as well as the battery life being good. In addition to this, the Samsung Galaxy Ace is great option for buyers who don't want to spend hundreds of pounds on a smartphone. It has a wide selection of apps on the Google Play Store and useful pre-installed ones. Setting up this phone was a breeze, I found it so easy to add my contacts, change the background colors and generally get to know it better. With the Android OS of 2.3.6, it has a large selection of features to use. Using Samsung Kies to transfer my music didn't take long either, considering I have over 100 songs it only took 15 minutes. (Not including the installation of Samsung Kies) Typing isn't a problem either, its not sensitive and the keys are spaced out to make it easier. The 5 megapixel camera is good quality and takes amazing pictures, to share photos you simply click on menu, then share, then you receive lots of different options to use like, email, text, instagram etc...
Overall this is a good buy and I highly recommend it anyone!"

"Is it any good, will it last? Two questions I asked myself before I decided to put my hand in my pocket for the cash.. It lasted two weeks before It broke - At least that is what I thought... Having lost the phone,and on ringing, there was no reply. And then it turned up... I had managed to stick it in the washing machine for a full cycle.. At least it came out all clean even if it no longer worked... I took the battery and sim card out, left it in a warm room and it is now back running as if it had never been away on it's little holiday..Full credit to Samsung. Wife has the Samsung 111, looks a little dirty, but will not try this again!!"

"I'm not a fan of touch screen mobiles (I'm 62 so that may have something to do with it) but this phone is fantastic. It's easy to use and the display is brilliant. The apps are endless and I have to say I just love it. All my friends have now changed to this phone as it is such good value for money."

"At the age of 61 (female) IM have I just purchased my first smartphone. I do love new gadgets and in the past day have learnt quite a lot by just finding what it can do. I now have downloaded the manual for extra information. I love the style and it is easy to use. Hope to find out more of what it can do. Voice recognition still needs to be inproved."

"I was quite happy with my ordinary mobile, but my family convinced me that I was missing out. I took out a contract on an Ace and I look at it every day with wonderment. The fact that I can sit in my lounge and send a photograph to my brother in Australia is, well, spooky. So is being able to sit anywhere and access my email sites. WiFi seems available in so many places and means I don't use much of my allowance. I can sit and review newspapers from all over the world. The camera is much better than I expected and produces more than useable shots, so I can have a camera with me wherever I go. Well done, Samsung!"

"I got this to replace older Samsung non-smart which had become unreliable and to be honest I did not really want a smart, just a good phone, texter and camera. However this caught my eye and i have not been disappointed. Many reviews comment on poor battery life, but if you are a user like me, basically a few texts, a few calls, a few memos and a few photos, the battery is great! I have done some internet/wifi and even themn battery use is not too bad at all. I immediately loaded APNdroid to ensure no unexpected background data use, and also aquainted myself with the task manager and such like, and again that helps ensure nothing is draining the battery (or my wallet) unnecessarily.
I am also a convert to Swype! It is great for texts and memos.
In common with most of this sort of technology the screen is pretty poor in sunlight, but given that we don't get sun any more in NW england that isn't affecting me too much!!"

"Let me say straight away, I purchased my Galaxy Ace to replace my iphone 3g, after having looked at my friends Galaxy Ace in a comparison discussion one evening. The Galaxy Ace won hands down on features, ease of use, music player sound quality, especially the 5.1 surround via the Samsung headset. The Galaxy Ace is a feature rich, beautifully designed hand set, having a superb screen that reacts to a feather touch or swipe. The camera is excellent too, taking detailed quality photo's. Everything about the Galaxy Ace, is simply breath taking, I highly recommend this model, even to those who are new to the Android oS, you will have a a tour de force of an experience every time you use your Galaxy Ace."

After years of "key" phones, I decided to try out this "touch screen" phone, I was terrified at first (due to my age) but this phone is so user friendly and the menus are easily accessible, I wondered what I had been so nervous about. I got used to the phone by downloading a few games - this enabled me to judge how sensitive the touch pad is. I was confident using it almost immediately and have not had any problems with my handset at all. Very, very happy with this phone :). I also love the fact that holding down on the screen also flicks up the menu (similar to a right mouse click). A note for new users - when trying to forward a message on to others, just push & hold down on the screen over the message, that will give the option to forward message."

Features are great, stylish appealing look, loved the accessories included in the box (spare white back cover, 2gb mem card, earphones etc), battery life at first was poor; but now I get around 2 days (I would recommend downloading Easy Battery Saver and Advanced Task Killer), no problems yet, very popular phone and cheap (thats why I bought it after looking around on the market), looks like the iphone 4 and has the same features (can do most of the things a Galaxy S2 and iPhone 4 can do and at a much lower price), its running Android 2.3 Gingerbread, best phone in this range, the best I've had so far, and its very reliable too.
Overall a Excellent Phone, Buy it Now!!!"

"Excellent mobile phone, had been a Nokia user for the last 15 years and I must say that this surpasses my expectations. Plenty of apps to download and the phone itself is easy to use. Battery life has been really poor, this has been overcome by downloading a free battery saving app, now seems to be OK. Would highly recommend this phone.."

"I got this phone for christmas and i am really happy with it! Reading other reviews i wasnt so sure about getting it, but i am so glad i did! Apart from the very poor battery life, this phone is equipped with all the necessary apps, and plenty more are available, soem for free, in the android app market. IT is lightweight and has a large screen. To keep the battery levels as high as possible i recommend going into settings-applications-running services and stopping everything you are not using. They have a habit of starting up for no reason. But this phone is a cheap, must buy! i love it!"

"My first impressions of this phone when taking it out of the box is - ‘This looks too good to be true’, especially for the price I paid for an O2 contract. ‘Stylish’ is an ‘under statement’ . I was looking for an affordable phone with all of the modern features similar to the iPhone but without the high price. This phone is brilliant. My I sight is not too good, so I was concerned that I would not be able to use a phone with a small keyboard such as a Blackberry phone. I was delighted to find that the touch screen was very easy to use and in any lighting conditions – even for me! Setting the phone up to use was even easier than I thought. I was downloading my first app from google within the same day. The phone comes preloaded with a large selection of ready to apps anyway. The big test for me was receiving and making calls. Have a visual impairment which means that I had to be able to see the screen and key-in the numbers without any errors – simple. I am so delighted with this phone I only wish I made the switch earlier. Battery life is good too!"

"The Galaxy Ace is my first smartphone and I must say that I am love with it. Not only does it have a cool and sleek design, but it's size, power and capabilities are really amazing. I was debating going with a cheaper phone, but I decided to spend more money and get this one and I must say that I truly am happy with my decision. I have had few problems since I got the phone around 2 weeks ago, the Wi-fi works exceptionally well and the Swype function is truly awesome. "An amazing phone with many good features and supports all apps downloaded easily. It does everything that an i phone can do (more or less) but has better battery to do it with.
The phone also has a sleak design and a slim case meaning it is also lighter than a similar sized smartphone.
All together a very good phone for its cost which looks and works very well.
Could do with better battery life when using apps. But still better than I Phone 3GS (used to have)"

"As far as the next generation of smarphones go this is an absolute belter - easily maching its bigger screen stablemate the galaxy s. Whilst not as big as a couple of other samsung smart phones or htc range,this easily out looks them all.The similar sized iphone 4 is heavier and bulky,this phone in comparison is superlight and has a great looking/feel casing to it. Memory is standard fare - expandable,but the superfast processor is rapid.In summary a superb looking smart touchscreen phone that performs as good as the most expensive ones on the market. 90/100"

"is really good the camera is perfect the screen the only things i don't like is low internal storage the OS is good but i want 4.1 jelly bean. the experience is really good is good for networking social and for taking beautiful picture is good for people on the GO!"

"In my opinion, this is a good value, relatively cheap phone.However, the instruction manual is non-existent and doesn't begin to tell you about the various functions. It's largely down to your own fiddling to discover how it works. Build quality seems good but the controls are very trigger happy which can be very irritating when you've spent some time trying to find a particular page. Poor quality phone speakers but camera quite good.
It's no substitute for an iPhone and when I can afford the extra £250 I'll be trading it in.
Good value if you're on a budget."

"This little phone is my first ever smartphone (I know, welcome to technology!). Being I was used to "stupidphones" this one was a great choice for someone like me, who has never embraced the smartphone technology until now. Easy to use and even easier to figure out how to use it. Only disappointed in the lack of colour choices; its black or white."

The negative points even after paying huge cash:
Low internal memory.
Not able to move apps to SD card.

"It is good that that phone was quite good value, but I'm being charged extra on my contract because it converts links and email addresses into MMSs. I'd like there to be a setting to disallow MMSs. Also, it struggles to connect to 3G or the network signal after being in flight mode, and I have to reboot it."

"This is overall a decent smartphone, especially for its price. However, it is very fragile as one drop on the floor completely shattered the screen and I had to pay to repair it (this is not a problem if you have screen protectors and a case for it). The phone is easy to use and the camera is good. However problems include the internal memory which is consistently too low despite clearing all data and uninstalling every app possible, it keeps lowering for some reason. Also there is trouble with the SD card as an error message 'SD card removed unexpectedly' shows at random times, even when the phone has not been touched. However for its low price you cannot really complain."

"I'm a newcomer to touch-screen phones and it took a bit of getting used to. Once over the initial fumbles, it becomes very intuitive. My only quibble is with the Notification Tones - the actual tones are ok but I can't get them loud enough to hear over background noise, especially when phone is in my pocket."
