"As a trainee teacher, I wanted something I could pop into my bag and use at Uni, school, home and my friends houses. This tablet beats all other 2011 tablets hands-down in terms of features and raw power, and is phenomenally slim and light as well, with top notch build quality and an absurdly bright and clear screen. I use it daily, and what I once thought would be just an expensive toy is now an essential part of my life; from planning, money management, word processing, web browsing, chatting, video calling to playing games! And with new Android tablet apps coming out at a very fast rate, I cannot recommend this product enough!"

"This is the compete tablet as you can multitask which I think is a must in the modern world we live in.
Internet is quicker than IPad, I always opened pages quicker than my friends iPad. HisiPad opened Apps quicker and has a better screen. My Samsung has better sound quality-2 speakers, can increase memory by 64gb, cheaper by a long way, much better aferservice as standard without having to pay a small fortune if something goes wrong with apple. The Samsung tablet is far closer to a pc whereas the iPad is just a supermodel iPod.
They both have strengths which are very different from each other.
I stream all films from Netflix to my 46" tv.
If you want more freedom with what you can do, then it has to be Samsung.
if you want an overpriced tablet with amazing screen then the IPad."

"Solid tablet running Android OS. Runs Hi Def 1020p video smoothly, which is the most you can expect from a tablet. Good for casual use on the internet and playing games. Only annoyance is selecting text on a webpage but that is down to the OS that is continually updated. I thoroughly recommend using the Swype keyboard with this product."

"I bought this product basically, so I could play games on the move. I thought that the Ipad was too expensive, this seemed a reasonable choice instead. Since owning this Tablet, I use it for more than I ever thought possible. The tablet now controls my whole life, by that I mean that all my appointments are stored on it, I manage my finances on it as well. I really like the fact that I can Bluetooth my friends notes and calendar updates, this is a vital feature for me. I am disabled, hence I cannot get out much so the tablet makes my whole life easier. I would recommend this product to everyone, and I have done so."

"Excellent tab, I took hundreds of photos during my trip to Lebanon and it never affected the performance. All my friends were amazed at how great the photos I took were. The Wi-Fi is so fast; I was in the airport browsing an internet when another passenger who had an iPad asked me whether there was a wireless network available or not - his iPad couldn't even see the signal so he moved to sit beside me thinking he'd get it. That was funny I must say."

"Find it so easy, keyboard fast responce online searching web sites, playing games great, graphics brill with great pictures and video, am totally loving it only had the tab two weeks but i say dont hesitate buy one. Well done samsung having the galaxy s 2 also they make a great team."

"I love the Samsung galaxy tablet, I'm not all that good with technology but I found this easy to use, the apps are Fab on it and I would advice to get this instead of the I pad as this has got flash player on.the graphics are brill."

"I simply love my galaxy tab 10.1. I bought this product after using my Galaxy S2 mobile. I was very impressed by S2's design, display and performance. Galaxy tab has exceeded my expectation in all those three areas as well.
I use it for work, socialising, to watch clips and films, and to play games with my nephews. It is an excellent piece of techology. I use skype on it to call my family and I use its built-in front cam for video calls on skype. It works beautifully and the resolution is far better than the built-in cam I have on my laptop (my laptop has an excellent cam too as compared to many in the market). I am not sure why some users here are not able to make video calls on skype from their tablet.
It looks extremely beautiful in your hands when you use it or carry it around. Sleek and ver well designed. Most of my friends have used my tablet and they really like it too.
I have bought the Samsung dock + keyboard, USB + SD card reader and Samsung book case to go with the tablet. The acccessories are of very good quality too.
Other than minor software errors, I don't think there are any such issues in this tablet. I am really glad with my purchase.

Amazing Tablet for Studying...

"I bought this tablet from my Uni Bursary expecting it to be nothing more than a toy really. How wrong was I! This Tablet is great, it has great word processing built in, (the typing takes a bit of getting used to though), fast internet speeds, (fast tablet in general really), it's lighter than a laptop, can get many journal articles etc needed for work downloaded, so no need to carry around lots of paper or books. The battery life is also really good, (I've had the Tab for around 2 months now and the battery has NEVER ran out on me).
Another helpful feature is it's size, it's big enough to view web pages and documents without having to scroll side to side and up and down every two seconds but it's also small enough that if your taking notes or whatever from a book, it doesn't take much room on the table, so there's is plenty of room for textbooks or paper etc.
Few problems though are that the inbuilt browser does crash occasionally, Skype doesn't work (I did however download an app called Tango from the App Market, which does the same and this worked fine) and the bar at the bottom of the screen is annoying when you're trying to type plus you can't customise the apps on it. The built in ebook reader also crashes occasionally, but I use Aldiko from the App Market anyway and this is no longer a problem. I will also point out that when I say occasionally, I mean occasionally, these things don't happen majority of the time.

"I like this tablet it has a very good screen and is quick and easy to use. Although there are two cameras the screen side camera cannot be used with Skype which is disappointing. I bought the gadget to use with USB and Memory card and that works fine. I suggest though that the charging port be on the side or top because the extension at the bottom makes it hard when in the lap.
Recommended."

Memory management can be a headache when apps fails because other apps haven't been cleared from memory even though they are not reported as running.
But... Great device and software issues can be fixed easily over the air and by downloading better apps.
Just wish Samsung would try a little harder (alot harder) to support it in UK.
More information and more commitment please."

"I bought this tablet primarily to sit on my sofa and surf the internet, email and watch TV programmes that I have missed . It is quick to boot up, easy to use and the screen is lovely and clear. Because it is so handy, I would like to use it to manage my schedule etc but the Kies software makes synching with my PC incredibly difficult."

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
"I bought this not long ago and was delighted when I got it out the box and picked it up. Its so light and thin and the design is nice. After having it for two weeks, I was relatively happy. The screen is absolutely incredible. Its so bright and vivid and much better than other tabs aside from the iPad. Watching movies and browsing photos was an absolute joy. And the speakers were also a highlight. The quality of the sound was superb and the Galaxy Tab 10.1 is by far the best gadget I have ever listened to music on. Also, as its Android, I love how fun it is to use.
But now for the bad. Android make some great phones like the Samsung Galaxy S2 and the HTC Sensation. However, they are a decent way behind in making unbeatable tabs and I have to say it, the iPad 2 is better. The amount of compatible apps available for the Galaxy Tab compared to the iPad is poor. Over 140,000 apps are available just for iPad and the amount available to Android tabs (not just the Galaxy Tab) doesn't come near that figure. Its very disappointing and you find yourself having to use apps only available to Smartphones, meaning its comes up tiny on the huge 10.1 screen. Also, I found the Galaxy Tab to be quite laggy and slow. I like Android's ideas but the platform is no where near as smooth as Apple's iOS. Apps and web pages are far too slow to load up. Now this isn't Samsungs fault, its Android and I have no doubt it will get better in the future, but for the time being, no tab can compare to the iPad 2.
I now have the iPad 2 and I love it. Admittedly, the screen isn't quite as good and the speakers are neither. But for the things that matter in a tab; speed, apps and the platform, the iPad is much better. I wouldn't swap it for anything. There is an app for just about anything which can't be said for Android. Also, the App Store is much better and easier to use than the Android market. And its so much faster and never lags.
On the whole, the Galaxy Tab is good and by far the best Android tab but, at the moment, Android just can't compete with Apple! I use my iPad 2 for everything. Watching movies, playing games, browsing apps, browsing photos and surfing the web. I can also connect it to my Apple TV which makes the iPad 2 a much better buy than the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 at the moment."

"Nice screen, however i find the tablet pretty laggy. It should be much faster instead it often freezes and everything takes longer than it should. Still on Honeycomb despite Ice Cream Sandwhich being out since December."

Browsing not phenomenal, poor scrolling etc.
I feel it could be a much better product if Ice Cream Sandwhich perhaps was rolled out on it. As it is now ipad is a much better tablet.
