"At first I was thinkingof getting the galaxy note that was alot more expensive than this. When I realised how much cheaper it was I asked people and they said its not worth the extra money for the note, so I brought this home. I am so pleased with it, I can get loads of games, go on the internet and do everything else I wanted it to do. I love it so much and it look great. I would highly reccomend this if you want to get great value for money! The speed is great too, its faster than my laptop so I now mostly use this for the internet. Its also great because if you want some extra space you can insert a memory card. So happy with my product!!! The only thing I would say is that the camera isnt that good but this isnt a problem for me"

"I had always thought of tablets as expensive toys for kids to play their games on, but I have had to revise my opinion of these devices.I bought mine having become fed up using a laptop on my knee to email and use the internet and now I am totally sold on tablets, they are very easy to use and have virtually all the functionality that the average person could desire, plus the fact that they do not become hot during use.I just love my tablet and it still amazes me the amount of technology packed into such a slim machine.A totally AMAZING piece of technology, would not want to be without it now."

"Only realised how many features there were after purchase. Kept finding more and more. Only minor disappointments were lack of ability to use a network shared printer and the Kies tab to PC link program. Not major problems, just niggles, as plugging in to USB port solves the connections,

"The Samsung galaxy tab 2 10.1 16 GB Wi-Fi only is an excellent product for every day use. You will find all of the features and functions that you would expect from a high end tablet. The dual core processor is good but not fantastic however it does the job and if Samsung updates the tab 2 to jelly bean it will be even better. If you own a Samsung galaxy phone equipped with tethering and portable hotspot you can pair your tab with your phone and use the phone as as Wi-Fi hotspot. This let's you use your tab when you are out and about , this is a great function for those of us who could not quite stretch the budget to get the 3g tab 2."

"Luv it but haven't found all it's capable of yet. E.g. can you print from a wireless printer from my tab, and how to access my information from an sd card that i have just added. Aready with info on it . It's big enough but light enough for my handbag [ if it's a tote] found my skype and kindle books no problem. Haven't found how to sync my kindle books with my book I'm reading on my kindle yet? I chose this tab2 without the pen and haven't regretted it. I also have just bought galaxy 3 phone and it works the same way and i love that. So with all it's features it's fab. I'm in my early sixties but am computer literat but have to say anyone could use this pad it is so easy"

"I have not owned a tablet before and am not used to the android technology so it took a little while to work out how to use the tablet. The shop assistant was very helpful initally and I also found the Samsung website very helpful. It has taken me a little while to get used to the functionality but as I haven't used this type of product before that was only to be expected. I am really enjoying it and think it was an excellent buy for me"

"My son has ipad but i didn't want to pay the price. So opted for the galaxy. it is brilliant. Easy to use. down sides are that sometimes i get a slight time lag on games causing me to die :( .LOL. and the cable is a little short so it is difficult to use while charging.. downloads really fast love the camara.. Another down side is that no hard cases are available yet. So come on samsung get your finger out. I purchased extra external speakers so i can music in stereo."

"Bought my Galaxy Tab2 yesterday after dithering about which tablet to buy for months. I am glad I procrastinated for so long as it meant this tablet was available at a realistic price. It has been a real revelation even compared to my Android phone. Ice Cream Sandwich is superb, it makes my current phone which is running Froyo seem much older than 2 years old! Thankfully my Galaxy SIII is due to arrive in the next few days so I can enjoy the full experience on that as well.
One of the key points of the Galaxy Tab2 for me was the fact it has a micro SD card slot so it is easy to expand the memory if required. The Tab2 has so far been wonderfully simple to use and it makes me wish I had got one ages ago, but then it wouldn't have looked this gorgeous! If I had bought any other tablet and had then tried the Tab2 I think I would have had a pang of regret."

"I can not express how much this tablet changed my life, I am a 32 year old mother of 3 full time nursing student with dyslexia. This tab has organised my life and studys it has replaced ALL the paper in my uni bag. Its light weight so makes that extra textbook manageable, and the screen is big enough to be able to use the keyboard quickly when taking notes in lectures.
Things I would change :-
The battery is good enough to last the full day with out taking the charger but if I forget to charge it over night it cant last 2 days you cant use and charge this tablet at the same time since it was last updated, it needs charging while it is switched off, so you cant even use it for your morning alarm because its swiched off!!!
The microphone isnt fantastic maybe the note tab has a better one I use my tab to record my lectures to playback at a later time . I have looked for a directional microphone but cant find one on the market."

"Very good tablet, and does everything I ask of it, apart from connect to my TV via composite or HDMI. Even the Samsung 10.1 plug in adapter doesn't work on the TAB 2. Hopefully a new adapter or software update will fix the problem."

"Brought this product today and i love it. Been umming and ahhing for ages and finally decided to just do it.
Really easy to use and haven't had to use the downloaded manual yet!!!
The only downside i have so far is i wanted to watch tv programmes online and i thought it would be ok because it said its flash player was compatible and installed on the tablet but it wouldn't work. So i downloaded flash player, went to watch a programme on demand 5 and i couldn't because adobe won't work on Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich) or above. They need to sort themselves out!!!"

"We wanted to buy a tablet after having used a family members ipad2, as it provided a much easier and quicker way to use the internet for day to day things as well as social media and emails. Having initially decided to purchase the ipad2, it was only after reading many online reviews that we noticed how much cheaper the Samsung galaxy tablet was, and how as we already have phones running Android and a Samsung smart TV, a Samsung tablet would provide greater functionality. And it certainly hasn't disappointed. It's bigger screen is great for web browsing and being able to run the same apps as on your phone is great. Bluetooth, is great for transferring files and All share means I can simply tap and play content from the tablet to our TV in seconds over the home WiFi network, so sharing photos with family when they pop over is amazingly simple. So in a word, great!"

"Decided to go for the Tab 2 over ipad as it is able to add more memory up to 32gb and the price. If you look around you can pick these up for much less than an ipad 2. Screen is very bright and has good depth of colours. Touch screen is very good and would say was as good / better than my old ipod. However the only thing I don’t like is some of the accessories Samsung say work with the Tab 2 "DONT" (HDTV Adaptor). I would recommend this item as it is fab to use battery life so far is great and lots of apps to download. However if you want a Tablet to connect your HDTV perhaps you may want to consider something that has a dedicated mini HDMI port, unless you have an DLNA compatible device then you can connect the Tab 2 without wires."

"Had the Tab 2 wifi since Xmas 12 and was working brilliantly until last week when battery decided not to charge, even when turned off the battery charge percentage actually went down (whilst plugged in). It doesnt matter how good the design is or how great the tablet WAS working. If it cant last longer than a month without an issue like this, i'd stay clear of it."

"Bought for my wife for Christmas, fully charged up, waited with anticipation and the touch screen keeps locking and not responding. How disappointing, all our faith in Samsung products straight out of the window. Tried soft resrt as that is all we can do. Have to send back and be without the device she so wanted.Should have got the *pad. Sorry."

Unresponsive screen and jerky scrolling

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
"I love the design of this tablet and it's definitely a great buy in terms of price but let down by the following:
Onscreen buttons require to be tapped several times to be recognised
Scrolling on web pages was jerky
On screen keyboard slow to appear and react.

These issues may be more to do with Android (latest version installed) but unfortunately the sluggish user interface detracts from the overall experience."

Always Freezes Up

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
"Having purchased this tablet as an alternative to an iPad I have to say I am very disappointed. Every time I switch it on the screen freezes after a few seconds. I then have to switch it off and switch it on again. It works for a few seconds and then freezes again. After doing this 5 or 6 times the tablet works for a period of time but freezes if the screen is left for a short while. The firmware is up to date. All in all the product fails to deliver."
