"This product has great features. Unlike other Samsung Galaxy Tabs it also has a micro SD slot which you can put an SD card in that's got up to 8GB! Without an SD card it has a lot of space anyway. It is easy to access several features, there are lots of ways to communicate on it as well. The internet is fast and the email updates frequently. The screen shows bright colors and the speakers play sounds very loudly. Furthermore it is lightweight, has a glossy finish and is a great size. In my opinion I find bigger tablets to bulky and heavy so for people like me it is the right tablet to choose. There are many options to customize, especially on the home screen. Google Play provides a large selection of great apps to download, you can even edit and move them around on the app screen. The very moment when a new android update becomes available it will display it to you, this helps you stay on top of the latest features. It has a front and back camera, the front is great for skyping and the back is good quality for taking pictures.
Overall this is definitely a winner!"

"Disappointed when the screenshot icon was removed following update, I have however discovered if you hold the on/off button at the same time as the lower volume (bottom of the volume button) this will take a screenshot... not as easy as the icon but better than nothing. Overall still impressed with tablet... but please bring back the screenshot icon ."

"I have the wifi version which is great, it works quickly and efficently the only slight problem i have found is a noticeable keyboard lag. The battery is brilliant and all apps work quickly and the processors are fast and effieicent. I believe an update to jelly bean is coming which soon will get rid of the lag."

"This tab is very good, easy to use and has some good apps to get you going, easy to get used to as well.
As much as I like this tab there is one thing missing that lets it down, TV connectivity via a cable.
I'm sure it works fine using all share but what if you don't have a tv that has this ability, you can't output your images to that tv.
Over all it is a very good product at a very good price, let's hope samsung produce a cable for tv out for it and perhaps some other methods for connecting it to a tv.
Oh and one other thing that lets it down is this specific model the 3110 has no IR blaster.
As much as I like this tab there is one thing missing that lets it down, TV connectivity via a cable.

"I am giving a five star rating. This tablet is great. I have only one complaint and wonder if anyone else has had the same problem. When I bought my tablet there were a couple of software updates. After I updated my software, my camera no longer works properly. I am assuming it has to do with the lighting as it works indoors but when I got out on my deck during the day when the sun is out, it will not take pictures. They come out blank. I was told this is a known problem and I'm wondering when it will be corrected and if there is any solution that I don't know about. I work around this problem by transferring pics into my tablet from other devices, but a lot of extra steps. I like this tablet so much that I decided to keep it and hope for a solution eventually. HELP!! The video works perfect and the camera works well indoors.
I wanted to mention to the person who sounds like he wants to charge his tablet on his PC, you can do that through Kies. If you connect your tablet to your PC and turn on Kies your tablet will charge whiile connected."

"Better than the heavy 10 inch tablets and yet does everything that they do at a much cheaper price. It's pin sharp and fast. It's very easy to use and there are gazillions of free useful apps to download now. I can surf the internet, read my emails, read my ebooks, and papers, do home banking, bet online, listen to music, etc etc. It's simply brilliant.. Samsung does it again."

"This was picked on the basis of features and price and it has not disappointed. Out of the box it worked straightaway and in most cases has replaced my laptop for overnight stays because it does everything I need it to whilst being small enough to fit in my jacket pocket. The battery life is excellent and the facility to use 32Gb micro SD cards is a major plus point. The lack of 3G isn't really an issue at this price either - I bought a 3G mobile hotspot or you could tether it to your smartphone.
The only minor downside is the proprietary charging connector - why? When almost everyone else uses the USB micro-B connector this is a bizarre choice. I'd still recommend this over any other 7" tablet currently on the market."

"I love the 7" size of this device for handiness. It has some quirks like suddenly switching off and on again and its worst feature is the laggy imprecise keyboard (though I love the fact that the numbers are above the letters, not on another screen)."

"Lack of manual (even an online manual) is the only flaw. The tablet is well above my expectations. Performance is good, sometimes just a touch sluggish, screen is clear and bright, speakers are not the best but the use of good headphones solve the problem, battery never drained out in less than 8 hours, thousands of useful apps are available."

"I bought 2 of the Samsung Tab 2 7" Wi-Fi only. They are really nice tablets full of really nice options. The kids love them. Also at the price I paid, it was a really good deal. The only drawback that I’ve found and it's a major drawback is that after buying a 32 GB micro SD card class 10 and putting it in the tablet, I’ve found it can only be used as a storage space. Yes you can store music, movies and documents but it doesn't extend the space for tablet itself for apps. On most things now you can install apps then move it to the SD card or move some of it but you can’t on these. You can use the about 4 GB of available space after the operating system and other apps have used from the 8 GB. This is a huge drawback for such a good tablet. If it can be changed please send me an update to change this. Otherwise it would have been all 5 stars. Thank You."

"Enjoying my new Tab 2 Only down side is that there is no manual when purchased and to get the most out of the Tab you definately need a manual. I'm sure it can do lots more than I currently use it for but without a manual to refer to it is very frustrating."

"i have a computer but could never work out how to use most of the apps ect but with my galaxy tab 2 i found my round it easy, and i dont understand all this about apps but it was so straight forward if i can use it anyone could my hubby got it for my birthday . i was going to have an i-pad but for me it was the tablet it fits in the palm of your hand and weights next to nothing love it and so looking forward to working out the thing i have not yet explored."

Dull screen and colour tint

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
"Having purchased the 10.1 version (see my other review) I was expecting the same vibrant screen but was somewhat let down by this smaller 7 inch version.
The colours were definitely more muted and the upper part of the screen when in landscape mode had a greenish tint making greys look rather off colour.
Whilst scrolling webpages was not jerky as with the 10.1 the screen did seem to stop scrolling as soon as the fingers stopped flicking rather than continuing as one might expect. This may have had something to do with the the fact the screen seemed to have a certain amount of friction which stopped the fingers moving easily over the surface."

Useless SD Card slot - useless tablet

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
"It is not possible to install Apps on an SD card and most of the Apps I installed (Evernote for example) don't use the SD card to store their own data.
The internal 8Gb memory is for apps and data, and apparently there is a hard coded partition for data and for apps. I have 3.86 Gb available in my internal memory, but since this is probably for data, I can't install apps anymore.
This tablet which looked nice when I purchased it is now collecting dust as a useless gadget.
I don't care if the problem comes from Samsung or Android. As a customer, I am highly unsatisfied.

"This could be a great product but being a first time tablet user without a manual i can send messages and play a few games. I'm sure it can do more, playing games has a limited interest and now it sits in a corner doing very little. So come on samsung get the job done and do something about it.! Please"
