Gingerbread Never Tasted So Good!

"I'm so happy I chose this phone over other options by Samsung, because Android 2.3 runs so smoothly on the Nexus S because it doesn't use the TouchWiz UI like other Samsung phones that run Gingerbread. The phone is amazing to put it shortly, the device loads applications and other software very quickly thanks to the snappy 1GHz processor, the all the device looks stunning as a whole, specially with the clear Super LCD screen which I prefer greatly to the AMOLED display.
If any of you are wondering the difference between the two display options of the Nexus S, AMOLED's colours are more saturated and brighter, and has a greater contrast ratio so blacks look as black as they can possibly be on any screen, but the screen has a blue tone which is off putting when using the browser but the Super clear LCD screen has colours that look more natural, have the whitest whites. You may be put off the price because of how high it is from some retailers, but it is worth the money as the phone hasn't been messed around with, and offers you the best Android experience on any phone on the market."

"Really good product, very good display and easy to use, the only con I could find with it is that unless the settings are turned off the internet is constantly accessed and applications can update without you being aware of it, it cost me money before I realised why I was going over my alowance of internet usage. Overall this is a great product of you are after a smart phone I recieved mine as part of a contract upgrade but I am going to sell it and go back to my old Samsung mobile because I prefere it over all."

Cons: no function to turn off internet access completly.

Brilliant for an Android purist

I would recommend this to a friend!
"I've had my Nexus S for just over a year, and I am very very fond of it. It had some teething problems with random restarts at first but it seems to settle into a comfortable stable state now. Speed wise, it is excellent, and I don't notice the lack of an additional SD card. I've also dropped this phone (accidentally!!) several times, and it still works! Talk about resilient and durable build. Great value for money, a phone for a lifetime."
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Lightweight, comfortable to hold

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
"It would be great if it came with an instruction book so that you could work out how to answer calls and get your texts. Have tired the web sight with no joy so back to Car Phone Warehouse tomorrow to see if they can help"
