"Awesome phone... great display... brightness... very light weight.. lags a bit in performance but its manageable... Though this is no Flash in its 5.0 mp camera... it still gives quality photos... What every user needs right now is an android 4.0 upgrade... SAMSUNG is being unfair if its not providing Samsung galaxy s plus users ICS but is providing galaxy S2 users an ICS platform...!!!"

"over the years ive had really old phone's but none of them compare to this, it's fast it's quick and you can do pretty much anything on it i think its a really good phone i would most defiantly recommend this phone to some one else a happy samsung user here"

"I´m very happy, finally a great GPS performace, great battery life, very speed, and like galaxy s a very nice screen. But Samsung need a rubber battery cover, and fix the battery loose inside the cover, or a small clicks in battery cover. Samsung needs also open a real acessories shop, i can´t find s spare battery or a tv-out cable."

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
"I just bought this phone a few months ago and used it as is. Now I wanted to upgrade to ICS and I thought Samsung (beeing one of the "better" companies) would do an ICS upgrade for sure. Now I find out I was wrong. There are other phones on the market with less cpu or ram which run ICS without any problems, so I don't get why there isn't a ICS upgrade yet? Also noticed the GPS seems to drop out a lot on this phone. The seller recomended this to me as an ideal GPS alternative with the right software. But with the GPS drops, no software has a stable lock which makes the gps mostly unusable.
Besides these 2 points, it is a very decent phone. It has a very nice and clear display and runs fast. If you don't need ICS or a stable GPS, this phone does the job well enough."

Cons: Did not meet expectations, needs ics asap

"This phone takes great pictures & is generally reliable but! This phone was i thought made to take on the iPhone but with the lack of upgrades it going to fall behind it! I know there the S2 & S3 but not everyone can afford to buy them, so come on Samsung make update available. THIS IS A GOOD PHONE BUT YOU CAN MAKE IT BETTER?"

"4 down sides to this phone are , no flash ! im amazed this has no flash with a phone that has all these features and it is needed if you want to take pictures in low light ! another downside is the sms inbox ,gives no individual section to each name .. also security does not let you item areas with a password unlike my old samsung jet, which is handy when you have children whom get there hands on your phone and you may have pictures on there, or areas you dont want them to be looking at , there is a main key lock for the screen and that is it ..nothing else and to say it holds so much stuff on it ,im amazed it does not have more levels of security and finally sms /media messaging ,if you type a text over 3 page,s 145 letters per page not 160, it automatically goes into media messaging mode which cost you 4 times as much to send through your carrier and there is no way to send longer text or go between sms or mms mode this is a main downfall for a phone that is well made and superb in every other way .
im hoping a update may sort out some of these issues in due course as otherwise this is a superb phone that just needs to use some of the tried and tested software of the jet in its overall use especially on sms and the security side ."

"I'm an older person and this is my first smartphone with the android operating system so was disappointed with the instruction book, have had to teach myself! Still finding things out by accident, have had the phone just over a week. Love the screen, it's so clear and easy to read. I like the market I can download apps for free mostly. Have had the phone freeze on me once so far so hope this isn't going to be a regular occurrence. Great colour display, feels great in the hand, sound quality good (after all it's a phone!). Getting to grips with texting, I'm used to a qwerty keyboard on the pad. Battery not too bad, not as bad as some android phones. Have had an issue with sending long texts but have sorted that through a help site where other people have had the same problem, Samsung website not any help."

"My first proper smart phone and it's superb.Having been a Nokia user for a number of years I didn't have many options when I upgraded. How would Samsung measure up to Nokia's ease of use? No problem! Very simple to use and set up, the only downside is the battery life - was fine on first charge and lasted 3 days, now I find I'm charging it every day, sometimes twice and I'm not a heavy app user or downloader although I do use it as an mp3 player in the car. As far as I've read this seems to be a problem with most smart phones and for this reason I can't give it 5 stars across the board. Would recommend getting a spare battery to prevent being phone-less at an inopportune moment."
