"I bought the 20-50mm as a kit lens to the NX100 and found this to be an excellent lens as far as kit lenses at this price range go. The lens renders reasonably sharp images and pleasing color when shot in JPEG superfine. It only gets better in RAW with post-processing. The bokeh is also quiet pleasing. The iFunction took some getting used to but once I got used to it, I wish I had it on some of my other cameras.
The best camera is the one that you have with you. I do not carry my full frame DSLR with a myriad of lenses for casual travel and everyday use due to their size and I am often without my rangefinder for fear of losing it. I bought the NX100 with this (and other prime) lenses to replace an aging (once high-end) compact camera with which I used to capture memories and feelings for casual everyday and travel shooting.
This is a fairly versatile lens that can deliver professional-looking small-medium prints in a reasonable variety of common shooting situations for the price. However, it is not without limitations. If you shoot in low light, take action/sport shots, refuse to use a tripod, refuse to zoom with your feet, take a lot of macros or engage in other specialized genres of photography, you will be better served with other lenses/cameras. This compact system camera will not replace my DSLR and rangefinder but integrates seamlessly to fill a casual everyday shooting void because I carry this (but not my other cameras) in my purse at all time. Overall, this lens is a great value."
Pros: Inexpensive, Realistic color, Lightweight, ifunction, compact retractable lens
Cons: no ois but i'd easily trade that for smaller size

Good lens for the NX200

"Just received my new NX200 and this lens gives it perfect balance, unlike when I put the 18-55mm lens on it - it becomes front heavy.
A pity it doesn't come with OIS, but then it would probably be a lot bigger and heavier.
All in all, a great little lens."
