No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
"tried with philips and sony big and good screen...nothing. changed hdmi cables ...mothing
tried powered with microusb via travel charger..nothing. nnothing AT ALL.i want the money back .a nd this is the one compatible for s3. try some improvement !!!. for the unadvertise s2 model i previously bought too. clearly stating the comatibility. sorry for my english rich of fault and errors but it works a bit at least.. sursum corda."

"Simply put, this device does not perform as advertised.
It consistently loses connection between the phone and HD television, seemingly refreshing the connection or simply showing static on the screen.
Would NOT recommend to anyone looking to view files from their phone on their television."

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
"i bought this adapter for my galaxy note 2 and it worked for a day and that was it. i felt the the adapter was faulty so i got another one but this time this did not work at all. samsung need to have a review of this product cos it dosent seem to work for either the Samsung S III or Galaxy note 2 which i read and was told its compatible."
