"i Love it, a real must have, i leave my phone at home more often now, most places you go now have wi fi, and if not you can also use 3g, you can use this camera to send and receive text messages or skype and email while your out if you do not take your phone with you, the camera is amazing with all the features it has to offer, along with all the many apps you can download, all in all a great camera with all the added extras of a smart phone, i heard people say, " why not just use your camera on your phone?" well for a start the pixels on this camera is 16.3 to 17 mp, what phone does that?, also it has a 21x zoom for taking pictures from far away what phones does that? along with the many many more features to make this camera exceptional."

"I got mine last 2 weeks...2 days before leaving for Korea winter vacation recently...and I had great time shooting great photos of my family members and the scenery....the outcome of the photos are superb!!! And the MOST wonderful part is that I could instantly upload to the social networks and share the photos with my friends back home...amazing shots indeed. However upon returning home, my camera has a bit of a problem...unfortunately the 'Gallery' has stopped and my dealer helped to download another 'Gallery ICS' as an option...it works fine but upon returning from my dealer I noticed that when I snap a photo, I can't view using the gallery box at the left bottom side of the screen...a message 'Unfortunately, camera has stopped' appears....however I could view the photos via Gallery ICS... I have informed my dealer and I shall be visiting the Samsung Service Centre soon...hope the camera will be working well again...nevertheless...I ♥ the Samsung Galaxy Camera very much.....a BIG THANK YOU to Samsung!!"

"After researching and reading reviews I was concerned the picture quality was going to disappoint. Being a note 2 owner and totally loving it I had no concerns regarding the andriod functions or the Samsung features and build. What can I say regarding the the picture quality and video recording other than absolutely brilliant. Obviously it's not the best camera on the market but if your careful and set your camera up for the right shooting conditions it works great. Having not opted to add the SIM card and opt for tethering it works great and having the ability to upload straight to my network drive or Dropbox if you wish is just awesome. Don't get distracted by the negative so called professional reviews just go in to your local store and hold,try and play before you decide you won't be disappointed."

"I've had mine a week, its amazing, does exactly what it says it does; I took photos with my SLR then took the same photos on Galaxy slr settings: the galaxy SLR function worked extremely well, also the print quality is amazing. The menus are easy to access and to use. The tablet is great too, so real value for money, I highly recommend this camera to anyone, young or old."

"the samsung galaxy is a pleasure to use the 4.8 screen jumps out at you.the menus are easy to use and having a 21x zoom puts the icing on the cake.i have had mine for about 3 weeks and i use it every day i even use my headphones listening and watching youtube.you can even use manual settings ,you have shutter prority and aperture prority .i am a s l r user and have been for the last 30 years. this camera is a blast to use and if you are thinking about getting one just do it.......you will not be disapointed steve g"

"this really is the missing link between high picture quality (as in a camera) and easy connectivity (phone or computer). It has Android jellybean OS attached to a camera with a 21x optical zoom. Full manual control that is actually easy and quick to set. High speed slow mo video at a decent resolution, 768 x 512 at 120fps. Amazing lens quality with a wide zoom range from 23mm. It uses the battery from the Galaxy S2 phone as well.
Connectivity via bluetooth, wifi, 3G (with micro sim card) is icing on the cake. My favorite feature is Samsung allshare. I can wirelessly stream full 1080p HD video straight to my TV.

Great device but important design issue

"There is a design issue in that apps often activate the camera ( without user action) This causes the device to push its self out of cradles, pushes the lens into the palm of your hand and causes the device to elevate if left sitting lens down screen up. worse if it's in your pocket.
This also happens during initial startup/power on. The device therefore is prone to lens failure which can also damage the main board of the device.

Dissappointed with product, despite taking excellent pictures

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
"Very dissappointed with this camera, slow to start up, doesn't close down quickly, sometimes goes off completely, sometimes sleep mode.
My main problem is that it now doesn't display pictures I've taken, it gives a message saying "lack of memory, delete rogrammes or pictures..." when I can see from settings that there is plenty of memory. This is extremely frustrating and makes the camera one big dissappointment, despite th fact the pictures it takes are phenominal, for a copact (ish) camera."
