I would recommend this to a friend!
"I've used this maybe 20-25 times now. Worked faultlessly, i haven't used the loudspeaker as i have a bluetooth parrot handsfree fitted in my car which plays it through the cars speakers.
Suction cup is very strong, the mechanism used has alot of leverage giving you very good suction to the screen. Charges fine and is powerful enough to sustain and even increase charge while using phone as gps sat nav. I can rotate the phone so its horizontal and video my driving without having anything intruding on the shot.
Has alot of adjustability to get the phone the correct angle and the knob on the back can be tightened to keep it there. No bouncing or any movement of the holder while driving. Its very solid.
Only minor critism is its a bit awkward getting your phone in and out of the holder, i still haven't figured out an easy way to do it. Easily the best in-car holder i've used, its worth going for this genuine product. An easy 9.5/10."

"Works well when using bluetooth to connect to car. No offset so if video is attempted with one of the safe-driving apps 25% of the camera view is the windscreen suction cup!
A bit fiddly to remove the phone from. Otherwise works well."

No phone audio through dock

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
"I bought the dock to have a handsfree kit. Huge mistake.
Problem 1:
I wanted to route phone call audio from the 3.5mm stereo port on the back of the dock into my car radio's 3.5mm stereo port and use the mic on the phone itself as a handsfree kit. Dock doesn't support this. You can only make calls via speakerphone and the speaker is too weak for you to hear properly from a distance. The mic works well from a distance though.

If you use Drive & Walk (pre-installed) on phone, the audio is however ported to the 3.5mm stereo port on the dock which in turn ports to you car radio if your car radio has a 3.5mm input.
Problem 2:
As soos as you dock the phone it automatically enables Car Mode (not to be mistaken with Driving Mode) and activates Voice Talk. Voice talk is totally useless without a live internet connection or a huge data package. This automatic change to car mode cannot be disabled and every time you dock your phone you have to first press a whole lot of buttons to exit Car and Voice Talk Mode before you can get it operational again. Extremely frustrating and time consuming.

This proves that the so-called hands free features of the Galaxy S2 (and for that matter, the S3) is not built into the phone but relies on external sources. Every single function of Voice Talk (Call, Text, Navigate, Memo, Driving Mode) is thus useless without internet. Only feature that does work is Play Music.

This is a really expensive car charger as that is what its functionality boils down to."

"I have this docking station for few months.
I do not like it as it is hard to install the phone into it and to take it out. Every time I put the phone in docking system it starts up the Driving mode and voice control. I hate that! It is not possible to disable that!!!!
It is not charging the phone when it is in the docking station. I have to take out the usb cable from the docking station and plug it in directly into the phone so it can charge it up!!!!"

Wont work for phone calls

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
"I bought this product to stay within the law when making phonecalls on the move only to find it wont. The audio out is fine for music and sat nav directions through my cars mp3 socket but the phone call wont route through this and the tiny speaker on the rear of the S2 is too small and I have difficulty hearing the caller at motorway speeds. Had to buy a Jawbone as well so not good."
