High cost of replacement toner kit makes this a miss.

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
"I previously had a clx 3160n which initially performed well but then starting jamming due to paper the expensive paper I was using.
Put in cheap paper and it worked.
This 4195 is as good as the clx 3160 only the cost of replacement toner is twice the price.
Otherwise it's average."

Pros: cheap initial purchase price.
Cons: very high cost of replacement toner kits
