"Well I got this player on Tuesday, setup was easy had no problems in setting it up, downloaded a few more apps.
I am very pleased with this product when playing blue ray disks the picture is perfect and 3D is even better, I know you will say you only had it for a day well that's true but did not get to bed until 2am as I tried all the apps including Love film and BBC I PLAYER all worked no problems here the only thing I could fault the player with is it only had one USB port and that is at the front of the player, I don't know if you could use an four port usb connector as I would like to use a hard drive and also a WIFI keyboard. at the same time."

"Had it for a few weeks now and must admit so far no problems. All the apps work fine, maybe the internet is a bit slow but didnt buy it to browse internet. Most happy with built in WiFi, DLNa."

"Bought mine a week ago,took 20 mins to install,maybe i've been lucky with updates but got bbc iplayer,netflix & other apps i wanted.Using them is easy too & no problems using the brouser but it is clunky & slow as others have mentioned.As for the picture my advise is to turn off bd-wise,don't bother it softens detail & sharpness too much,instead use the presets or better still maual settings via tools whilst playing a disc.Sound is good & dialogue upfront & clear on a 5.1 setup.As a streamer & dvd upscaler can't fault this machine but for bluray playback i'd recommend looking elsewhere.It's bluray playback isn't bad but no sparkle that others offer for the same money.Didn't buy this for bluray anyway so it doesn't bother me.Over all quite happy with it."

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
"purchased this smart blu ray player thinking the apps i was most interested in were installed, they were not , ie bbc i player, acetrax.problem being that the browser although able to find these on line, for some reason not able to download the app. also not able to register the bd e6100/xu on the samsung web site, so not able to add the apps i want. shame the blu ray player and media players are very good, as is the wireless connectivity, the smart hub and browser are cumbersome though, most apps installed are not free, there seems to be some cost attached to most of them , very misleading. suppose these types of smart tv/av units will improve with upgrades."

"A good and affordable Bluray player let down by incompatabilty with a number of new DVDs.
This is unforgiveable consider my 8 year old player has no problems with any new disks.

"Bought to plug into a samsung D6530 so no problems, but went to Maplin for the cables to plug into an old JVC cinema surround system this only adds to the expense of buying an HDMI cable. Why cannot good cables be include in the box ? The equipment is useless without the connection cables.The surround sound is needed as the TV speakers are not very good"

"as a player its fine but the browser is useless far to slow inputting web addresses , this was a primary reason for the purchase , so very disappointed, the apps are also limited with no demand 5 and other apps that would make this a much better machine are not available , will be trying to return the player for a refund if possible, the wifi is good and easy to connect , the menus easy to use . if the software of this machine was better it could be excellent."

"Really disappointed - have now spent 3 hours trying to get this Blu Ray player to connect to a brand new Samsung TV but it says no signal. From what I can see on the internet this is a common and persistent problem with Samsung blu ray products."
