"Bought this to replace an ailing Samsung Bluray player: BD-P1500 XEU (problematic from the start), and my choice was based on price rather than anything else. I was not aware of its app features.
So, after setting up the network link, which was easy and self-explanatory, I was delighted to note it had found my shared folder on my PC. Since I didn't even know it had this capability, this covered the cost of purchase on its own. I thought the network connection was merely for firmware updates and disc content use.
Needless to say my PS3 and older model BluRay have now been stowed away in my attic.
It feels light, flimsy and cheap but it gets the job done and then some. And since it sits on a shelf, never to be hefted again, how it feels is a moot point.
Basically does more than it looks like it should."
